Academic Stress, Psychological Distress, Coping and Self-Efficacy among Undergraduate University Students during COVID 19

Academic stress is the most common emotional or mental state that students experience during their studies. Stress a result of wide range issues, including test and exam burden, demanding course, different educational system, thinking about future plans upon graduation. The aim current study was to investigate relationship between academic stress, psychological distress, coping self-efficacy among undergraduate university COVID 19. sample research 302 (males=95 females=207) with age ranges 18 years 25 (M=1.41, SD=0.46), from city Karachi. Purposive Convenient sampling technique used. All participants were provided link Google forms which comprised following measures: consent form, demographic Perception Scale (Bedewy & Gabriel, 2015), Kessler Psychological Distress (Kessler Mroczek, 1992) , scale (Hamby, Grych, Banyard, 2015) General (Schwarzer Jerusalem, 1995) For statistical analysis SPSS version 22 revealed there significant predictive (R2 = .039, F 12.18, P<.05), whereas negative found (p<0.01). Moreover, positive distress Also, gender difference in scores (p<0.05). This will help researchers, faculty psychologist increase awareness sources students, level develop an intervention plan reduce students.
